Description
Aizumi refers to the Japanese words for indigo (aizome) and black (sumi) which is appropriate due to how the denim is made. First the warp is rope-dyed in black, before then being rope-dyed in indigo, giving the yarns a unique character and fading profile. The mix of these two dying methods has produced a pair of jeans that is incredibly dark in colour (not quite black) which will end up producing an alternating indigo x black contrast fade. The low tension weave gives this denim a soft hand with an irregular and slubby texture.
